Happy new year!

Good evening, boys and girls! Pretend you're one of the Wilkinson quintuplets and sit back and take a look at some of my pictures of what I've been up to the last few weeks. By the way, I did squeeze in a short visit to the Wilkinson's house December. They'll be 18 months old in January and will be old enough to go in the nursery at church on Sundays. What a fun place that's going to be! Okay, here's a picture of me taken one night in December at about 3 or 4 am, as you can see the red blood shot eyes, from lack of sleep, trying to get everything squeezed in that I wanted to do. Like most everyone, I probably didn't come close to all the grand visions of goodness that danced in my head, but did what I could to enjoy the season and Christmas cheer. For some of my relatives, I treated them to new Christmas stockings and had their names embroidered on them, choosing styles that matched their tastes. Valerie loved their stockings. My dad is known as Grandad to...

Pioneers and patriots festival

Today I spent the entire day at our church's 2nd annual pioneers and patriots stake festival. I always enjoy the Spanish speaking branch for their music and dancing. We have mariachi music at a moment's notice and they're really talented and bring a lot of spirit. They're wonderful. This is what I worked on with Cindy--it took much more time to put it up than to take it down. Of course if I didn't wear high healed shoes to climb the ladder to hang the rope and bandannas, it might have made the process go more quickly. We hung more than 250 pieces of artwork from children in several wards to display. Cindy came up with the decor, I just helped her put it all up. The most fun part of the day for me was when the Wilkinson quintuplets arrived and I stayed with them for the rest of the evening and helped a little bit with the babies. They are getting so big and developing into the cutest, most adorable personalities. I simply adore these little angels. Rachelle is so a...

Wilkinson Quintuplets are my buddies

One of the greatest joys to me is volunteering to help out with the Wilkinson quintuplets . Here's Kaydence, Kassidy, Kyndall, Rustin, and Ryder on the front row. My mom, me, and Lindsey on the back row. We hung out with them while their parents and older siblings, Riley and Kaiya, went to Joe's Crabshack to celebrate their dad's birthday. Kaydence and Kassidy, having fun watching Lindsey and me sing and dance to Hairspray as part of their nightly bedtime routine. Lindsey is here playing with Ryder. It was a fun surprise to run into the quints and their mom and friends at Rudino's for lunch a few days go. Here's Rustin. Isn't he just the cutest little guy ever? Or would that be Ryder as the cutest little guy ever? They're all just the sweetest little angels and I genuinely LOVE these little babies. What a blessing they are to so many people. I'm thankful that Rachelle and Jayson let me come over to visit their babies! It is such a joy and I love ev...

Five little angels

What a handful these five little babies are, but what a joy! I was happy to be there today especially because their mommy and grandmother (Betty Ann from Arizona) wanted to take a group picture of them inside the wheelbarrow wearing overalls, so I stuck around to help after my shift ended. Luckily, I had brought my camera, too. I have some of their names matched with their faces. Top left is Rustin, who is easy to remember because he's a redhead, so I think of rust colored hair, which sounds like Rustin. Then the other little boy is Ryder, the one crying. He is adorable. They're all amazing. I'm pretty sure I got to hold each of them at least a couple of times during my three-hour shift today. Here's the same shot as above in full color. In the front, center is Kyndall. I can't tell which of the other two girls is Kassidy and which is Kaydence. Here's their sweet mom, Rachelle. Can you believe this skinny woman gave birth to quintuplets about three months ago...
