I've been bronzing

I love make-up. I'm not always the best when it comes to make-up application, but I keep trying to look for new ways to enhance my appearance by painting my face. I can't stand my red blotchy complexion usually, so I try to cover it up with a foundation to even it out with the rest of my face. Recently I got this new compact for bronzing, along with an awesome brush, and if you have seen me lately, you'll notice the tan on my face. That's right, just my face. I can't believe my friends haven't told me how terrible it looks. When I'm putting it on in the dark hallway in front of my black buffet, I look pretty darn good (in that light). But when I see pictures of myself, I want to cringe. I'm going to have to have someone confiscate it from me because it's fun to use, but if it looks as hideous in person as it does in the pictures, I'm going to have to chuck it.

I too have been known to get carried away with the bronzer but better that than none I guess!

Heidi's use of bronzer got me using it, and I have liked it. For those of us who are pale/blotchy, it's a big help!

This made me laugh. It is like coming home from a party and realizing you have stuff in your teeth. I have not seen you with the bronzer, but I am sure it is not as bad as you described. Keep us posted on your make-up finds.

Kelly I think that you are grossly exaggerating, You looked great when I saw you on Sunday. So I don't know what you were talking about.

Ok, it depends on the brand. I love the "warmth" bronzer from Bare Escentials and I also loved Orlane Paris Bronzer ($40 and worth every penny) for years. I recommend both. You can get the second one at Nords or Dillards. Only select Dept Stores carry it. Years and years ago I got it fed-exed from Paris until I found out it was sold here too, duh!

I certainly haven't noticed an overly tan face Kelly; you always look great. I recently discovered bronzer as well and I love it!! Please let me know if I start getting carried away with it.

Hey Kelly, nice talking with you yesterday and I can't wait to see you next week! Summer is so right about the BE line. Have you tried any of the mineral powder makeups? They work great to cover redness in my complexion...
i thought you just went tanning. i didn't think it looked bad at all! i think a little tan in the winter is fabulous!

I have laughing tears... this is just too funny! I suppose because I am right there with you.. as I apply my lovely bronzer (I use Bobby Brown) I hardly feel like I can see it... so I add more - wonder how many people cringe behind my back? Oh well, as long as we feel good, right?
