Well, maybe not ALL of them. But at least a big chunk of my Christmas cards were sent out in the past two days. At least anyone who sent me one already, got one sent out. Now I'm working on gathering addresses for a few who didn't send me a card. I had a lot of fun making them this year, and worked on them while I was in Colorado. I love getting cards in the mail! It's the best kind of mail there is. Fun mail is welcome ANY time of year, so thank you to each of you who sent me and the family a card this holiday season! I treasure opening each of them and here's something strange to know about me...I don't throw them away, but keep them for YEARS! I keep them all bunched up together by year, and sometimes I have fun going through old ones. If you are reading this post and didn't get a card from me and would like for me to send you one, email me and I'll be happy to. (But if you already mailed a card to us this year, yours is en route.) Happy new year!
Hopefully this title, Book of Mormon Stories Pool Party , does not sound irreverent, because as an Activity Days leader, I felt compelled to come up with a fun end-of-the-summer event that is also uplifting, and after all, who doesn't love a splash in the pool on a hot day in August? My current church calling, or official role that I volunteer for, allows me to plan two activities each month for girls ages 8 to 11, that will encourage them to learn and live the gospel, serve others, and use the talents Heavenly Father has given them, to learn to do many good things. This year's seminary course of study for high school students is The Book of Mormon, and since I am a huge fan of this inspired book of scripture, I came up with this idea to have each girl show up to my house with a written summary of one of her favorite stories from within its many pages, and share it with the rest of the girls, while outside in our swimsuits near our backyard swimming pool! As each girl shares

I enjoyed all the pics and descriptions of your exciting holidays. Your photo of DIA is beautiful!!! We lived in Aurora for 5 years, near the airport site.
Yes, we had a fun trip. I can't wait until I have time to catch up on everyone else's blogs, as I'm WAY behind.
I'm GLAD you liked the quote on my card...considering I saw it on YOUR blog! Thanks for the inspiration. Very cool that you save your cards too.
Love,
Kelly
I've loved all your other posts and your holidays have sounded and looked so fun! Your in-laws have a very cool set up and I'm sure it was so nice to have so much family around, and probably a little chaotic at times too- I know all about that. I'll be calling you soon.
