Raising the roof

After the hailstorm that hit on March 25, we finally got our roof replaced this week. The workers braved the heat and got it done in about two days.
Our yard was a mess in the meantime and we couldn't park in the garage.
The timing worked out fine because our garage door opener isn't working well. It's been messing up intermittently quite often, and a Home Depot employee helped me pick out a new garage door to be installed since that is where the problem seems to be originating. It's going to take a few weeks for it to be here, but in the meantime, I drove by a house today that has the door I chose. I love it, (see below). I am not having windows added since we have already have these six windows (above) in our garage and natural light isn't a concern.
I just took this picture of our new roof this morning. The gutters still need to be replaced and that will happen next week.
Kelly got home from Taiwan last night after midnight. We all missed him so much and the kids each made him a sign. Christopher made the computer printed sign and Lindsey made the hand-written one.
Christopher rode with me to the airport and threw heart-shaped confetti on his daddy as he walked in the door to welcome him home.
Now he gets to tidy up his mess this morning! Enjoy your weekend, everyone.

Glad you are all set now. The new roof looks great.

We're set to get ours in the next couple of months. Sigh.

New roofs, new garage doors, lots of new happening over there, at least it is not a new yard again. I think that your house always looks so great. I am excited for you to get your new garage door, that will be nice to have it working all the time.

So glad that Kelly is home safe and sound, and covered in hearts.

Alright this is going to sound funny but that last comment was from me and not Kellie. I forgot that she used the computer and I didn't check the user. Oops.
I wish i got that kind of welcome when I got home!! Glad Kelly is back. I bet it's nice to have him around. And the roof looks great and I really like the garage door! You have great taste.
