Here am I (five months pregnant), with Hannah, Kelly, Lindsey, and Christopher, walking out of the San Antonio temple after our new daughter was sealed to us for time and for all eternity during a special, sacred ceremony, this past Saturday afternoon. We were happy to have a wonderful group of guests in attendance with us, Kelly's two sisters, Debbie and Brenda, my sister, Julie, Kelly's mom and dad, my mom, my good friends Lorraine and Stewart, Carol and Rick, and one person from our ward, my buddy, Sue. Dinner later that night consisted of a feast at the Salt Lick in Driftwood, Texas, for some incredible pork ribs, cole slaw, and more. We strolled along the Riverwalk to show our visiting family members one of San Antonio's popular tourist spots. It was a beautiful, windy day, the Saturday following Thanksgiving, in San Antonio. Lindsey had her end-of-the-year choir banquet in downtown Austin and wore the same dress she wore to homecoming, but with a different blouse to cover the strapless top. The night before the event, she told me she wanted to wear something different from the long-sleeved jacked I had made for her and there was no time to shop for something new. Luckily, my good friend, Michele, showed up at the Shabby Apple party hosted by Summer and Shana, wearing just the right thing. So I took the shirt off of Michele's back, and gave her one of my t-shirts to wear home. Then Lindsey tried the brown blouse on with her dress when we got home and it looked great with it. I got the seam ripper and unstitched the few seams that attached the turquoise ribbon to the side of the dress, then tied it on the outside of the brown satiny blouse and voila! It was a quick, last-minute solution. She looked so cute! Thanks, Michele!

I'm attempting to find chocolate brown bridesmaids dresses (with sleeves) for my sister's wedding in August-- I want something more casual and not so "bridesmaidish" so we can actually all use them after the wedding. But man, it is almost impossible to find dresses with sleeves!!
