"Feeling Good" in Austin

Yeah, he was slick. We enjoyed the MB concert last night, per Heidi's and Julie's twitterpated recommendations.
Michael Bublé has quite the image built up, he's a charmer, Mister Rico Suave himself. Prior to the concert, we met up with Chris and Conni and rode together downtown and enjoyed a lovely dinner at Thai Passion.
Here's gorgeous Conni trying to hold hands with Michael, but he turned away to look at me. (As if! I really dislike having my photo taken with Conni. She ALWAYS looks a gazillion times better.) I was actually standing on the other side of MB.
He kind of irked me with some of his foul language and commentary. Why can't he just sing, look fantastic and not feel like he needs to provide "bonus" material? I still liked his wit.
I video recorded some of "Feeling Good," but for the life of me, cannot figure out how to upload it in the current format. So I added a YouTube clip instead. Sorry I couldn't post a live from Austin clip.
Kelly and I had pretty good seats in section 23, row 22. I enjoyed the evening with my hubby. Thanks for spending time with me, Kelly! I love you!

What a fun night out Kelly! That's too bad though that he had to add some 'garbage'. That stuff isn't even needed! Just sing and let people enjoy the show. Sheesh.

P.S. Have you ever been to a Josh Groban concert?? - I HIGHLY recommend it! ;o)

I saw MB at the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago, before he was "all that." I don't remember ANY foul language or anything. Too bad fame seems to bring that out in some people.
Sounds like a fun concert, though. His voice is so divine.

Kelly & Kelly,
Thank you for a great night, a great dinner and great company. We had a wonderful time with you and enjoyed the concert too! Ditto on leaving the 'garbage' out. His voice is still fantastic!!

Oh I am quite jealous that you went to that concert. I have wanted to see him for quite sometime. I am a bit disappointed to hear that there was some foul stuff in there. I guess that I will just enjoy the music.
How fun! You guys looked like you enjoyed the evening. I really like MB's music.

I just went back and looked at this post again and realized I spelled foul like chicken. I'm going to edit it now. I've done that before, as my good friend, Tina has pointed out. One time when it was chilly in Austin, I said it was chili or something like that.

Anyway, MB wasn't out of control with his inappropriateness, but enough that it did irk me, as I said. Is irk spelled right?

Irk is spelled right! (I am glad there is the "edit" option on our posts, I use it frequently!) Yes, the language was unnecessary, but wasn't his singing wonderful? His voice is yummy. We went to his opening concert of this tour with Heidi and Ben in Reno last summer--I'd go again in a minute! Glad you got to be there.

Bobbi, I'd go again in a minute. I just wasn't expecting that from a MB concert. And there was a little 10-year-old boy there, and I kept cringing for his parents or mom, or whom ever had brought him. Several years ago the same thing happend when my in-laws took the family to a Barry Manilow concert--how in the world would anyone expect that at a Barry Manilow concert? C'est la vie. Maybe it's the initials...BM or MB.

At least I'm giving a heads-up to anyone to know what to expect. Now let's go to the next MB concert! Leave the kids at home. (Who would take their kid to a romantic MB concert anyway?)

Book of Mormon Stories Pool Party!

Hopefully this title, Book of Mormon Stories Pool Party , does not sound irreverent, because as an Activity Days leader, I felt compelled to come up with a fun end-of-the-summer event that is also uplifting, and after all, who doesn't love a splash in the pool on a hot day in August?  My current church calling, or official role that I volunteer for, allows me to plan two activities each month for girls ages 8 to 11, that will encourage them to learn and live the gospel, serve others, and use the talents Heavenly Father has given them, to learn to do many good things.  This year's seminary course of study for high school students is The Book of Mormon, and since I am a huge fan of this inspired book of scripture, I came up with this idea to have each girl show up to my house with a written summary of one of her favorite stories from within its many pages, and share it with the rest of the girls, while outside in our swimsuits near our backyard swimming pool!  As each girl shares

Our new daughter!

This picture was taken at church a few days ago while Kelly was on his way to the US for work this week. We have some wonderful news to share.  We are adopting 7-year-old Yeh Min Yu, who has been in our home off and on the last couple of months.  There's a lot that goes into making this official, dealing with US Homeland Security to arrange for her immigration visa, Taiwan courts and Chinese documents, getting a home study done by a licensed, qualified person, applying for a passport.  You have no idea.  I'll be glad when it's all done, but I couldn't wait to share this bit of joy with everyone.  We will name her Hannah to go on her new US birth certificate.  She's excited and nervous to go to America with us.  She can say more than 100 words in English so far.  Some of her favorite things to say are "small dog, butterfly, apple, pig."  She says it more like pig-uh.  We love her and feel this is one of the reasons we came to Taiwan.  Who would have thoug

Elder Larson to return from Thailand soon

Soon is relative, I suppose. Our son has been away from home more than a year and a half as he has been volunteering as a full-time missionary in the Thailand Bangkok Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since September 14, 2016. He will be home in four months and is working so hard, knowing his time there is winding down. He has been assigned to train Elder Ben Meyer, from Sydney, Australia, as they serve in Ubon, Thailand. Christopher has been there since November. We are very proud of his dedication and hard work. This week in Thailand, the new prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, with his wife, Wendy Nelson, along with one of the Twelve Apostles, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, and his wife, Patricia Holland, will be on their world ministering tour and be where our son is. The Church members and missionaries in Thailand are very excited and happy for this special visit! I can't wait to hear how it goes, and I look forward to pictures and stories to come.
