If a picture is worth a thousand words, this post should equal several thousand words, or even a short story. I took a lot of pictures to remind me of my getaway spa day. Here's where it all started....the gift my husband gave me for Christmas that took me three months to cash in on, a half day away at the Lake Austin Spa. Ah...I'm still relaxed just thinking about it. Then you'll see a gazillion pictures I took yesterday.

This was the only bummer view...the ceiling over my head when my Swedish massage was over. It was actually attractive, and the round speaker piped in my music preference, but the reality that my massage had ended made the view less appealing.
My friend, Carol, after her facial, waiting for her Daydreaming Massage treatment.
My friend, Sue, chilling after being told by her massage therapist that she needs to see a chiropractor.

What an incredible treat today was! I LOVED it. Honey, I know what I want next year for Christmas again. Thank you for the most excellent gift! Are you coming to Austin for a visit soon? Twist my arm and you might convince me to go with you to the spa for the day. It was an amazing retreat and I give it two thumbs up.
Here's a cute little picture of me in kindergarten, 1968. All my life, I've never forgotten this shot below in first grade (1969) when the photog asked me to say "peaches" and he snapped the shot at the "ch" sound. After all, I was in second grade and very capable. My grandma crocheted that groovy vest for me, but who is responsible for the hack job on my hair? Hello, 1970! Who knows where my third grade picture is. We moved so often, changing schools, that I might have missed picture day. Next is my fourth grade mug shot. I must have sworn off bangs by then. Thank goodness for those plastic barrettes to deal with the in-between length. Notice how every year I wore green? Yeah, it's been my favorite color for as long as I can remember. I don't have an actual school pic of me in f...

I am on to your blog now! I am so happy you got to enjoy such a relaxing day. Every Mom needs that!
When you comment on mine and ask a question, how do I comment back to you?
What I usually do when someone asks a question on my blog, is post the answer on the blog as a comment, then after I get the email in my mailbox of my comment, I forward my comment/reply to their email address.
What a sweet husband to think of that on his own. Lucky you!
Carol found out we were going, and she joined Sue and me, celebrating her birthday. It was a lot of fun going with friends.
A week would be too much time there, in my opinion. I think a day or two is plenty.
