Movie night: August Rush

This movie, August Rush, wasn't too bad. I'd recommend seeing it, I suppose. Robin Williams was a creepy character in it, but the story was pretty good. There were some unbelievable scenes that bothered me slightly, in that they seemed very unlikely. This was the second time I've seen Keri Russell play a single woman who gets pregnant (The Waitress). Typecasting. I'll give it a 7 out of 10. Now that summer is here and all my favorite shows are over, I'm in movie mode and have several movies to blog about that I've seen, so I'll keep it super brief.

I saw it (at least 6 months ago), agree with your comments. The kid has that "courtship of Eddie's father" persona, very endearing. . The movie started out great, I thought I had stumbled onto a real winner, but it just kind of lost momentum. I still wanted him to get back with his parents and I like fate and all, but the reunion was just a little too far-fetched.

I thought it was ok. It helped that the kid who plays August Rush (can't recall his name) is a phenomenal actor. It's not the type of movie that I typically watch, but I thought it was fine. I agree with Happy on this one. A little far-fetched.
