The blue checked wall is where we take the elevator to the garage to get to our car in the hotel, at basement level one.
The red checked walls indicates that we're at the basement level two.
Farewell to the Kingdom Hotel, the longest hotel stay I've ever had. When I return to Taiwan soon, I hope that Kelly and Christopher will have moved in to our apartment. Cross your fingers!
Lindsey's first semester of college starts next week, and the two of us flew back home to Austin so I could help her get checked in to school. I was pleasantly surprised that driving to the airport wasn't very far from Hsinchu, only about a 40-minute drive. Since I've been the one doing most of the driving lately while Kelly works, I was more comfortable taking us there, then having him get into the driver's seat to head back to the hotel. (No offense, honey.) Kelly told me that the return drive was nothing like the way there, as he and Christopher were stuck in awful traffic on the return.
I was anxious to get back home to tie up some loose ends of business. The turbulent flight eventually got us safely back on land and in Los Angeles, although I had to make last-minute arrangements for transportation because I read the itinerary wrong. It indicated that I would arrive in Austin on Saturday, when I actually made it back on Friday, since we're 13 hours ahead of Central time. A frequent business traveler explained to me that the itineraries will sometimes state the arrival time in the area from which you departed. Good to know for next time. It was exciting to gain a day that I thought I'd lost. I hope that I can get Internet access along the way during my travels because I would like to include some of Lindsey's experiences of starting at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

I am very excited to see you. And I really hope that you will be in your new place when you return and not have to go back to the hotel. I'll cross my fingers for you.
